The only time I ever had a problem with a router was when it was when the processor was too underpowered and it locked up because we had too much connected to it.

If we're talking Windows, there are the system hot keys with Win-Letter. Then there are the user hot keys with Ctrl-Alt-Letter. Finally, there are (at least in Firefox) link hot keys with Shift-Alt-Letter. (In any case, I despise Window's "OMG, you have a graphic there, should I make it your wallpaper?") The problem with the user hot keys in Windows is that they are set individually in the .lnk files. It's hard to keep track of them. And these link files might be in "All Users" or your profile, they might be in the standard Start Menu or in the WinX directories (accessible from Win-X). I wrote a little utility that scans and lists them. It's not released, I could polish it up. |

The only places I (as opposed to installers etc) put .lnk files are in the Taskbar and SendTo folders, never on the Desktop (if anything else does, I remove it immediately), and I never give them hotkeys. My starting point for most tasks is with data, not a program. I don't pick up a hammer and then look for some wood and a nail, or turn on a toaster and then look for some bread, or the washing machine and look for some clothes or linen to wash. BR |

Facebook seller: Printer $25 Me: Model#? Seller: Yes or Seller: Bookcase $25 Me: Dimensions? Seller: Yes |

Why bother to sell stuff if you have no idea what you are selling or how large it is? What rather (IMHO) stupid sellers.

On the other hand of the buyer/seller equation are the buyers who want you to cut your prices by a ridiculous amount and throw in free shipping often with the threat that they will be buying elsewhere if you don't.
Recently, one friend of mine was selling his 9 month old 2023 Macbook Pro 16" (M2 Pro, 16GB RAM, 2TB SSD) plus several accessories due to family issues. He had one person who contacted him and seemed to believe that $600 plus free shipping to Alaska was a more than fair offer. The asking price was $2000 plus shipping and was sold for that price to a local purchaser. I gave him a lift over to the meeting spot and everything went smoothly. I did end up giving both of them rides home. Some nervousness about taking the gear on the Skytrain was mentioned so I was volunteered. Not all that far out my way and I got a free coffee and gas money out it. |

Ah, what a lovely clear day to have a power outage. Judging from the cause listed on the outage tracker, I suspect another idjit stealing copper wire.
