format sd card
Ok, so after having troubles with my PB360 I decided to completely format the memory and the sd card.
But now I can't install the firmware. ('corrupted'). Do you know what kind of file system the sd card should be (for PB360 to recognize it)? Ext3 (Ext4, NTFS, FAT)? And the internal memory? Thanks in advance. Last edited by crangirl; 02-24-2011 at 09:13 AM. |

I'll try it again with FAT16 this time.
I get different messages everytime.. can't find it, corrupted, now the same firmware is 'not for this device'. I'll try to find different firmware (3rd one). Last edited by crangirl; 02-24-2011 at 09:36 AM. |

Hi crangirl,
I've found all sorts of issues trying to format a card in Win XP (what I'm using now). I downloaded a utility from the SanDisk website that was much better for me. It works fine on non-SanDisk products. Some cards that I bought on eBay turned out to be not genuine SanDisks despite assurances tot he contrary in the posting, and these yielded every problem imaginable. (I've found it quickest and easiest to do the formatting in Ubuntu though.) Try the SanDisk utility and see how you go. Cheers, Michael P |

I've formatted it again and downloaded the 14.2 firmware (again), suddenly it díd work.
(Maybe the 15.3 or something doesn't?). The weird thing now is that it shows 'Pocket101' (internal memory) as empty, in stead of showing the system, etc ... (It does open books the normal way however).. :/ So I can't save notes (or add dictionaries, etc). I'll re-install later.. but not now Last edited by crangirl; 02-25-2011 at 04:30 AM. |
