Use of computers to monitor staff performance, using agency workers to top up 'in-house' employees, and/or big companies contracting out work instead of employing their own staff full stop. Plus things like a low basic wage with performance bonuses. All sadly pretty common in this day and age. Coming from a working class area and with a low income, I know all of this first hand, and I don't work for Amazon!
