After downloading firmware file from computer to Era, you do not need to remove usb-cable. With cable connected (computer-PocketBook), turn off Era, and then turn it on with paging buttons hold down.

In my particular case I don't use my PC. I usually send any file via Dropbox PocketBook or directly from my smartphone. But the procedure is the same.

According to a German form where a pocketbook support user posts, a dark mode will be available in the next beta (6.8.1424). Might be available next week

You can ask user Forkosigan to add your ereader into tester's group. First register in the forum and then wtite to him directly. Maybe he will accept you. Or you can write directly to PocketBook's support.

Thanks for the suggestions. Managed to get the beta

Dark mode is available and works well. My only suggestion is to allow gestures or keybinding to toggle darkmode

Um, my PB700 now has a dark mode. In fact, I used the configurable menu to replace airplane mode with dark mode.

The external dictionaries are still not working properly several months later. I'm not particularly concerned because I don't use PB Reader, but they still haven't found a solution. This is just for information for anyone who is interested.

Showed up on my device a couple of days ago. One thing I noticed after upgrading was that the page number at the bottom of the page. I center tapped the page, and selected settings, and then the expand (the four arrows). I set the "Pages" switch to On. The setting persists until the device is turned off, but then gets reset.

Bug or is there another place where that can be enabled persistently?
