Auto frontlight
On the wiki there's a plugin description of "Auto frontlight" that sounds interesting and useful so automatically save battery, but it cannot be found in the menu's list of plugins, so I assume it doesn't exist (at least not for the Kobo Libra H20), correct?

Nope. This feature requires a light sensor. Only Kobo Aura One and Kindle Oasis have one, IIRC

Since there is a timed "screensaver" that shuts off the frontlight, and the frontlight will come on when returning from that "sleep"/suspended state, most use cases for such a feature may be already covered. Probably, the best that you can get, without a light sensor. Devices with a sensor may provide a system level setting to allow the sensor to control the frontlight level.
